This was for an assignment in which we had to create a sunday page that was in the size of the early 1900 comics. I used Windsor Mckay as an inspiration, trying to stick with an art nouveau style. As with my other pages, I first inked this traditionally. I then brought it into Corel and colored it. I'm sorry if it's a bit hard to read, but I didn't want the file to be overwhelmingly large. The dialogue is just the children remarking on the giant owls. You can download it to see an even large size. I'm very proud of this and hope you enjoy it.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
